Leaders in Football
The brainchild of James Worrall, Founder & CEO of Executive Sport Ltd, Leaders in Football was formed in 2007 after identifying a void in the football business industry for a premium event that brought together the most important leaders from world football and sports.
Founded during a period of an ever-increasing number of conferences within the sports industry, close consultation with many influential industry executives confirmed the need for a unique communication platform to voice their opinions on how the business of football should be governed for the better. Leaders in Football was created to provide a networking environment in order to bring together football’s most important leaders to share knowledge, best practice and ideas.

The concept of Leaders in Performance was first developed after the inaugural Leaders in Football in 2008. Following a series of consultations with key stakeholders that attended, it was identified that several major topics and talking points at Leaders in Football 2008 could be further developed in a conducive environment by bringing together the most relevant and important people.
One of these areas was sporting performance and excellence, by bringing together the elite coaches, managers, sporting directors, technical directors, performance directors. Thus, Leaders in Performance was created.

Leaders in Digital Sport
With the advancement of the digital media landscape rapidly changing through newer technologies, greater investment, and more discerning consumers with varying behaviours, the growing opportunities for the ever-popular sports industry have also increased concurrently. As businesses and organisations improve their understanding of the digital environment, sport continues to evolve alongside this medium with highly desirable and unique outputs.
Having introduced “digital workshops in sport” for a selective group of senior rights holders back in 2009, Leaders was asked to provide subsequent sessions based on similar content for 2010. Such was the success and excitement of these workshops that Leaders in Digital Sport was formalised to provide an opportunity to learn from digital leaders from around the globe.
Leaders in Digital Sport, which took place on the 6th October 2011, showcased the world of opportunity that awaits the sports industry in the digital age, bringing together 200 senior experts from clubs, leagues, associations, federations and brands in sport. Following input from a number of highly respected digital professionals, a conference programme based on technology, interaction with fans, gaming, social media and commercialising digital content was produced to create the best learning environment for those involved in sports and digital.
